IBM Blockchain has made significant strides in blockchain adoption in recent months. Several corporate entities are already building projects on IBM's blockchain platform. New features and security patches are continually under development -- IBM recently filed a patent that will make it more feasible for low-power IoT devices to participate in proof-of-work systems.
Blockchain is a broad category of technology that includes more than just cryptocurrency and offers countless possibilities. It is not just for financial transactions; blockchain can also be used to track objects in supply chains, manage secure records, and perform audits, and build trust. Even as regulators increase restrictions on cryptocurrency, blockchain technology is beginning to thrive in the corporate world.
